The POSE procedure is an investigational, minimally-invasive weight-loss procedure that does not involve any skin incisions or scars. The procedure is designed to reduce the stomach’s ability to accommodate and stretch during meals, so you can feel full and satisfied with smaller portions.

The POSE procedure is performed without incisions using a flexible device that is passed through the mouth and into the stomach. Through this device, research doctors use specialized tools to fold and suture the stomach tissue in specific, pre-defined areas - mainly in the portion of the stomach that stretches during meals.
